Welcome to the IntransigentMS Wiki![]

This is a wiki for community information about the IntransigentMS Maplestory private server.

As an alternative to digging through mountains of patch notes to piece together information, this wiki's purpose is to consolidate information about the game's content and features in a way that is accessible and is able to be kept (relatively) up-to-date.

What is IntransigentMS?[]

IntransigentMS is a completely free-to-play (with absolutely no pay-to-win) private server of the popular MMORPG Maplestory. If you've never played Maplestory, IntransigentMS is not a bad way to start, but do note that the server is highly custom and does not resemble any other servers that host versions of the game.

One of IntransigentMS's defining features is the fact that it is permadeath, which essentially means that when your character dies, you start over. It's a little more complicated than that (for example, you don't lose everything, and in some circumstances you can be revived), so if you want to know more, check out the article on death.

In addition, IntransigentMS boasts a huge number of custom features and game mechanics that are not found on any other version of the game, including custom classes, completely revamped and rebalanced skills, custom quests (known as IntransigentQuests), custom and revamped items, custom crafting, revamped EXP mechanics, customized and new combat mechanics, a plethora of custom commands, and much more.

IntransigentMS is completely open source. You can check out the main repository for the server's code here:

script code here:

tools/utilities here:

and quest INI files here:

Anyone can contribute—from quests, to scripts, to server code, to *.wz editing, to artwork, etc.

Who can contribute to this Wiki?[]

Anyone. Part of the point of making this a Wiki is that many hands can pitch in a little bit to make this information accessible and up-to-date.

All that we ask is common courtesy when it comes to making edits (those of you familiar with Wikipedia will get the idea). Don't vandalize, don't make sweeping edits without asking a contributor if you think they might have objections, and don't remove content without an accompanying justification.
